Day Camps
~Day Camps 2011~
Week long day camps are offered to groups of at least 5, but not more than 30 students.

Level I will consist of instruction, demonstration and riding practice. It will cover horse behavior, safety, riding position, balance, grooming, horse tack, control in
walk and introduce the trot. Afternoon games, trail rides and practice in the arena. Friday: test, campfire, and horse show.

Level IIa&b will consist of insturction, demonstration, and riding practice. IIa will cover horse handling skills, terminology, improving balance, transitions, and introduce the canter. IIb will cover riding english, horsecare, breeds, improving control, posting, pre-jump, first jump, and tacking up. Afternoon games, trail rides and practice in the arena. Friday: test, campfire, and horse show.

Level IIIa&b will consist of instruction, demonstrate, and riding practice. IIIa will cover horse care, bits, bridling, rein techniques, posting on correct diagonal, and control in the canter. IIIb will cover control with weight and leg cues, riding bareback, riding on contact, transitions, changing leads, jumping, and introdue sidestep, and turnback. Afternoon games, trail rides, and practice in the arena. Friday: test, campfire, and horse show.

IVb will cover soundness, fore leg and hind leg turning, flying change of leads and jumping. Riders will develop Western and English performance skills. Afternoon games, trail rides and practice in the arena. Friday: test, campfire and horse show.
